MEADOWVALE TOWN CENTRE

Shopping centres are an important part of communities: grocery stores, home improvement stores, clothing and other fun stores being close to home makes it easy for everyone to go shopping. Meadowvale Town Centre is located in the thriving city of Mississauga and is situated in a particularly family-oriented neighbourhood. The centre offers a variety of amenities and services for all families in the area. The centre itself is located at 6677 Meadowvale Town Centre Circle in Mississauga, and it has a lot to offer to its customers. Here’s a little more about the centre.

Ownership
The Meadowvale Development was design by Macklin Hancock in the 1970s and it helped bring a lot of families, and business, to Mississauga causing a lot of growth in the area. The town centre, a deluxe shopping mall, was opened on January 25, 1978, and was built by Markborough Properties. At that time, there were 21 stores both indoors and out including the largest Dominion Supermarket in Canada.

In 1980, phase two of development started to expand the retail space to 51 stores including clothing outlets, restaurants and a fast food court. Since then, the centre has expanded to include 88 different stores and close to 400,000 sq ft of retail space.

Stores in the Centre
While you’re visiting here, you’ll find a large variety of shopping and facilities here. If you’re a member at Goodlife Fitness, there’s a gym in the town centre so you can get a quick (or long) workout in. Further, there’s a Metro grocery store that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The centre also offers a Canadian Tire for home improvement and car maintenance needs.  Need a new cell phone? There’s wireless stores in the shopping centre. Looking for a great new outfit? There’s clothing stores for everyone in the family. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or a family member, the vast number of retail stores available here will surely having something for everyone.

If you’re looking for other services, there are professional services such as optometry and a dental center for your whole family.

Accessibility
The Meadowvale Town Centre is surrounded by many housing developments, and there is even an apartment building right on the corner of the centre development. The stores are accessible via public transit as well, since it’s centrally located within Mississauga. There’s also a large amount of free parking available in the centre area, either in front of specific stores or for the mall itself so if you prefer to drive you won’t be stuck trying to find a spot to park.

The Meadowvale Town Centre is very close to housing developments, but it is also close to hotels so you can stay close to family while you’re visiting. It is a great way to spend an afternoon if the weather isn’t cooperating, or if you’re just looking for something a little different to do. Spend the afternoon wandering around, window shopping and just enjoying what the mall has to offer – you might find exactly what you didn’t know you needed!
