Here are a few activities you can partake in while you spend your weekend in Mississauga.
MY WEEKEND IN MISSISSAUG

Port Credit Memorial Park
This park is a cornerstone to the Mississauga community, and it is located at the mouth of the Credit River in Lake Ontario. Within this park there is a walking trail, a playground for children of all ages with equipment that is accessible. The walking trail connects to the waterfront via a path under Lakeshore Road, so you can explore more of the beautiful scenery the area has to offer. If you’d like to make a day out of it, and bring the whole family, there are plenty of picnic areas complete with BBQs and hydro so that you can have a great day with the whole family. The park has beautiful views and offers a very serene setting right in the middle of the city, so you can enjoy a beautiful day at the park without going too far. You can access this road at 40 Lakeshore Road East.

Adamson Estate
This estate is located within the Port Credit neighbourhood of Mississauga, and is leased by the city to be used as a public park area. The land was purchased by Joseph Cawthra in 1809, but the mansion that currently sits on the land was built in 1919. This area is open to the public, and is a beautiful way to spend an afternoon wandering around. One of the most attractive features of this property are the Eastern White Pines, which are the provincial tree of Ontario. You can enjoy a beautiful walk surrounded by mature trees on this historic estate. This estate is located along the Mississauga section of the Waterfront Trail.

Waterfront Trail
The Toronto Waterfront Trail is a very popular path that makes its way through all regions of the GTA. The section located in Mississauga passes through 22 parks, including one of the very few remaining wetlands along the shores of Lake Ontario. This stretch of the trail features many historical sites as well a completely paved paths for walking, running or cycling. You will be able to enjoy stunning views of Lake Ontario during all seasons of the year right in the middle of Mississauga. The trail can be accessed via multiple entry points in Mississauga.

Playdium
If you’re visiting Mississauga and the weather doesn’t turn out to be so great, you can still enjoy your time here. Playdium features interactive, virtual and physical entertainment so there will be something for every one in your family to enjoy – even the adults. This facility also features one of Canada’s longest Go-Kart tracks as part of their 11-acre outdoor park. You can also take a swing in one of their 9 batting cages, which are open year round. After you’ve spent the day collecting tickets and redeeming them for prizes, the whole family can gather together to enjoy some delicious pizza, various entrees and snacks. This amazing, unique attraction is located at 99 Rathburn Road West in Mississauga.
